Telkomsel Launches "Lean Building" in Makassar

Telkomsel inaugurated the new office building in Makassar. Building named "Baruga Telkomsel" This will be the center of sales activity, customer service, network operations, and account management for the area of ​​Papua, Maluku, Sulawesi and Kalimantan (Pamasuka).
Telkomsel until now has 24.1 million subscribers in the region Pamasuka, with 5.1 million subscribers spread across South and West Sulawesi in the Makassar Branch under the service area. Construction of new building is expected to provide services for all customers in the region Pamasuka.

Baruga in Bugis language means "gathering place". This building is expected to be a gathering place for area Pamasuka service. Construction of this building began in May 18, 2010 and was completed June 1, 2011. Baruga building designed in the form of a parallelogram (rhomboid) so that the people of Makassar called it "the building tilted".
"This building reflects the form of technology to bring Telkomsel to meet the needs of telecommunications access in eastern Indonesia. We hope this building can also become an icon of new infrastructure in Makassar," said Sarwoto.
