AMEC Wins Engineering Contract for Phase 11 at the Tunu Field

AMEC Berca Indonesia has been awarded two engineering design contracts for TOTAL E&P Indonesia's Tunu Phase 11 gas and condensate field in the Mahakam river delta, East Kalimantan, Indonesia.

Both contracts, totaling US$3.3 million, were awarded by main contractor PT Meindo Elang Indah (MEINDO), and involve the design of offsite piping, telecommunications cable and tie-in work for the north and south parts of the field.

As design contractor, ABI will be responsible for the overall performance of detailed engineering work, including pre-engineering, survey, detailed engineering and final documentation. The engineering phase for both projects will be completed in June 2008.

"We are delighted to continue our relationship with Total, one of our primary customers in Indonesia," said Ben Dowson, ABI's General Manager. "The awards follow contracts awarded to us in January by Punj Lloyd Indonesia for detailed design services for the Tunu Phase 11 South Utility Platform, which forms part of the same development."
